Owners have been given 14 days to identify and collect their property, failure to which the items risk being sold at a public auction
At least 116 motorcycles held by the Nairobi City County Government face possible auction as the county moves to dispose of impounded and confiscated assets.
The motorcycles are listed in a public notice on the disposal of various county assets. Owners have been asked to take action to recover their property before the disposal process is completed.
In the notice, the county said it had approved the disposal of obsolete, surplus, unserviceable, impounded and confiscated assets for the 2025/2026 financial year.
"The Nairobi City County Government wishes to inform the public that, following the approval of the disposal of obsolete, surplus, unserviceable, impounded and confiscated County assets for the Financial Year 2025/2026," the notice reads.
The inventory includes motorcycles bearing registration numbers, as well as several whose registration details are recorded as unavailable.
