KPLC names Nairobi, 2 other counties to face power outages on Thursday, October 29

Kenya Power and Lighting Company has announced planned interruptions in parts of Nairobi, Nandi and Nyeri counties on Thursday, October 29, 2026.

The scheduled maintenance will affect customers in Runda and Tassia in Nairobi, Kapkemich and Kapkures in Nandi County, and Mt. Kenya Estate and parts of Milimani in Nyeri County.

In Nairobi, the interruption in Runda will run from 9am to 5pm, affecting Ruaka Road, UNEP, Runda Road, Eaton Place, Whispers Avenue, UN Crescent and adjacent customers.

In Tassia, power will be interrupted from 8am to 5pm. The affected areas include Kwa Ndege, Makuti, Riverbank Tassia, Amani Court, Muhindi Mweusi Shopping Market, Tassia Catholic, Tassia High Street, Melissa Academy, areas behind Naivas supermarket, Nyayo Gate B, Tassia Hill, Tassia Community Church and adjacent customers.
