Hero Haughey's 'surreal moment' after Arsenal shock

Fleetwood Town defender Conor Haughey tells BBC Sport NI's Thomas Kane about his winning penalty in the Carabao Cup shootout win against Arsenal, the reaction from those back home in Belfast and who he wants next in the draw.

Teenager Haughey scored the winning penalty in the shootout at Highbury Stadium

"My phone wouldn't work for two to three hours after the game because there were so many messages, just notifications after notifications."

It was a Tuesday evening like no other for Fleetwood Town defender Conor Haughey after he scored the winning penalty that saw the League Two side dump Premier League champions Arsenal out of the Carabao Cup in a 5-3 shootout win.

The teenager's emphatic fifth spot kick flew into the top corner to spark a pitch invasion at Highbury Stadium as Fleetwood pulled off one of the biggest shocks in the history of the competition.

Haughey's phone was almost instantly flooded with messages from friends and family back home in Belfast congratulating him on his big moment.

And that was before he hit the headlines again when his excitement spilled over in his post-match interview.
